More Care International through its leader who has on his heart the plight of orphaned children started a program to cater for orphans and vulnerable children. This came after he visited three Schools in Lotus Gardens, Pretoria West. He was shocked by the number of orphans each of the schools were having.
It was from that day onward, that his heart was touched and he started the program for orphans. As we all know water is a source of life to a human being, and equally, parents are the source of life to their children.
A child without parents faces many challenges among others no mother love, no father love and no parental support system.This leaves a scar on every orphan’s life. In South Africa, the voice of orphans is like a voice in the wilderness crying out for help. The leader of MCI, through his organization wants to see the crying voices of orphaned children being taken care of. The truth is there is no one from mars who can come and take care of the orphans on earth, but MCI wants to provide for the total care of the orphans and vulnerable children in society.
According to (UNICEF) They have put the number of Orphans in South Africa at between 3.7 million and 4 million on 12 December 2014 of which 812000 have lost both parents. The statistics from Africa Check says around 2.13 million have lost fathers while 611000 have lost their mothers. Taking these statistics into account, MCI seeks to cover the gap by offering a helping hand to the Orphaned children.
